Zhongkai High tech Zone National foreign trade transformation and upgradi Base（Electronic Information）Cloud Platform

Zhongkai High-tech Zone was established in 1992 with the approval of the State Council as one of the first 56 national-level high-tech zones in the country. After over 30 years of development, TCL, Desai, and Yiwei Lithium Energy, among other well-known local companies, have introduced over 5,000 companies from more than 30 countries and regions worldwide. This has made it an important production base and supporting industry cluster for mobile smart terminals in the country, as well as an important high-energy and environmentally friendly battery production base in the world. Zhongkai High-tech Zone is also the core engine of Huizhou’s trillion-level electronic information industry cluster.

Overcoming obstacles and forging new paths,

the area has expanded from 8.8 to 345 square kilometers, continuously upgrading and improving in the iterative process. From 2001 to 2022, the GDP of Zhongkai High-tech Zone increased by 44 times, from 2 billion yuan to 90.6 billion yuan. Similarly, the total industrial output value above designated size increased by 18 times, from 16.5 billion yuan to 313.8 billion yuan. By 2022, Zhongkai High-tech Zone is expected to occupy only 3% of Huizhou City's land area but contribute to 17% of its total land area. The Zhongkai High-tech Zone ranks 33rd among national high-tech zones in terms of GDP, with the total industrial output value above designated size accounting for 28% and the total output value of electronic information above designated size accounting for about 50%.

On March 9, 2020, the State Science and Technology Commission officially awarded Zhongkai High-tech Zone the 'National High-tech Industrial Development Zone' sign and held a sign-awarding ceremony.

In August 2020, the office building of the Zhongkai High-tech Zone Management Committee was completed and opened. It is located on Hechang Road in Zhongkai High-tech Zone, which is a high-tech industrial development zone.

On February 26, 2019, the launch conference for the construction of Huizhou Science and Technology Innovation and Industrial Park and the reform and innovation work of the institutional mechanism of Zhongkai High-tech Zone was held at the Chenjiang Conference Center. The Zhongkai High-tech Zone has been granted the authority to exercise municipal-level economic management and county-level administrative authority, expanding the area to 345 square kilometers. This has resulted in a 'one district, four parks and five towns' pattern.

Since its establishment, Zhongkai High-tech Zone has undergone three important adjustments. In 1992, electronic information was established as its leading industry. By around 2010, it had formed a '4+1' emerging industrial system. In 2021, the construction of a '5+1' modern industrial system was established. From 'processing with supplied materials' to 'innovation-driven', Zhongkai High-tech Zone has transformed from a 'processor' to a 'maker' and accelerated its transition towards becoming a 'creator'.
